Siberian smooth-bellied sturgeon

The Siberian smooth-bellied sturgeon also known as the Acipenser baerii.
The Baerri sturgeon can reach a length of up to 200 cm.
Typical of this fish are the bony plates that have the same colour as the rest of its body, which is different from other sturgeons, something else typical is the long pointed snout.

These fish are very active. They swim both on the bottom of the fishpond and at the water surface, but baiting happens only on the bottom.
The Siberian smooth-bellied sturgeon is a popular fish for the caviar world.
Often best caught on pellets, herring or cheese.

It is recommended to also make a small feeding spot with pellets around 2-3 metres from the shore.
