Marble Catfish

The European catfish(Silurus glanis) is a strong fish that can also grow very large.
Its whiskers and wide mouth are very typical of this fish, but what really makes it stand out is the marble pattern on its back. The fish is smooth and slimy to the touch.

The European catfish is not easy to catch and you will have to look carefully for its favourite spot in the ponds.
You can catch this fish excellently on pellets, cheese, smac and herring. The bait is often also taken on half-water or while sinking.
So are you really hunting for catfish and not succeeding on the bottom? Then try above the bottom too.

The catfish in our ponds vary in length between 122cm-158cm and can weigh up to 32kg so definitely worth a try!
