Grass carp

The grass carp is the slender sprinter among the carp species.
Originally not native to the Benelux, it has been stocked on various waters for years to keep aquatic plants short.

The grass carp is thus a real gardener and takes care of the maintenance of the bottom and grass edges in our ponds.

We even have real giants swimming around, with the largest specimens reaching an impressive 134 cm!

But for anglers, this fish is above all one thing: pure speed. Its elongated, streamlined body makes it shoot through the water like a rocket. Have you hooked one? Then expect a tough fight, a grass carp of the same weight is often much stronger and harder to land than a regular carp. This makes every drill extra exciting.

Fortunately, they like to be tempted with sweet bait: our sweet pellets and sweet wafters are top choices. And for those who like surprises: our coloured garlic wafters, which are not sweet at all, do unexpectedly well with these herbivores!
